Circuit breaker iC60N – reliable protection of electrical installations

This two-pole iC60N-D10-2 circuit breaker with a rated current of 10A is a protective element for electrical installations against the effects of overloads and short circuits. Designed for use in residential, commercial and industrial buildings, it offers comprehensive protection and easy installation. Its D characteristic makes it ideal for circuits with high inrush current, e.g. powering motors or devices with switch-mode power supplies.

Functionality and design features

The iC60N circuit breaker stands out for a number of features that facilitate installation and diagnostics. The possibility of direct connection of wires with a cross-section from 1 to 25 mm² (solid) or 1 to 16 mm² (stranded) provides flexibility in wire selection. The VisiTrip indicator, signaling electrical tripping, facilitates quick identification of a faulty circuit – the red color indicates the intervention of the circuit breaker. Additionally, the VisiSafe indicator informs about the physical opening of the contacts, which increases safety during maintenance work. The design allows for the removal of a single device without the need to remove the busbar and easy mounting/dismounting on the DIN rail without tools.

Technical parameters and application

The circuit breaker meets the requirements of IEC/EN 60947-2 and IEC/EN 60898-1 standards, which guarantees its reliability and safety of use. The rated short-circuit breaking capacity Icn is 6 kA at 230 V and 6 kA at 400 V, and Icu is 20 kA (230V) and 10 kA (400V) respectively. The IP20 degree of protection provides protection against accidental contact. The energy limitation class is 3, which affects the cost of protecting the downstream circuit. The width of the circuit breaker, 2 modules, allows for efficient use of space in the switchgear cabinet. Operation in a temperature range from -35°C to 70°C guarantees reliability in various environmental conditions. The rated impulse withstand voltage Uimp is as high as 6kV, which further increases its resistance to overvoltages.
