The iPRD65r-T2-3 surge arrester is a three-pole Class T2 device designed to protect electrical installations from the effects of lightning strikes and transient overvoltages. Its task is to minimize the risk of damage to electrical and electronic equipment, as well as to ensure continuity of power supply. Installing a surge arrester is an investment in the safety and reliability of the entire installation.

Construction and application

The device is intended for mounting on a TH-35 mm DIN rail and occupies 4 modules. It has a remote signaling contact, which allows for quick identification of an emergency situation and taking appropriate action. This arrester finds application in residential, commercial and industrial buildings, especially in places exposed to frequent overvoltages. It is ideal for use in TN-C network systems.

Technical parameters in practice

The arrester is characterized by the highest AC continuous operating voltage of 350 V and a rated AC voltage of 230 V (although the maximum continuous operating voltage is 350V). The device design allows for safe use in various environmental conditions (IP20). A C characteristic allows it to react more slowly to short current surges, therefore it tolerates starting engines well. It protects the circuit against overload and short circuit - like most circuit breakers in this class. Maximum overcurrent protection can be up to 80 A in parallel or series connection with other installation elements.
