Circuit breaker iC60N is an element of the Acti9 series, designed to protect electrical installations from the effects of short circuits and overloads. Model A9F03325, three-pole with a rated current of 25A and B characteristic, finds application in both residential, commercial and industrial buildings. Its construction combines reliability and functionality, facilitating installation and ensuring safety of use.

Protection and functionality

This circuit breaker is characterized by the ability to switch off a short circuit with a value of 6kA at 400V and 230V, and also has a short-circuit breaking capacity Icu up to 10kA at 400V and 20kA at 230V according to IEC 60947-2. The B characteristic ensures a quick response to current increase, which is particularly important in circuits with resistive loads or low inrush current. The rated impulse withstand voltage is as high as 6kV. This effectively protects the electrical installation from damage caused by sudden voltage surges.

Installation and additional features

The design of the circuit breaker allows for easy mounting on a DIN rail without the use of tools. Additionally, the ability to remove a single device without removing the entire rail significantly speeds up service work. Double terminals allow connection of wires with a cross-section from 1 to 25 mm² (solid) or from 1 to 16 mm² (stranded). The VisiTrip indicator signals the tripped state, making it easier to identify a faulty circuit – a red color indicates that the circuit breaker has been tripped due to a disturbance. The circuit breaker also has a VisiSafe indicator informing about the opening of the contacts, which increases safety during maintenance work. The energy limitation class is 3, which improves the cost of protecting the downstream circuit.

Application and compliance with standards

iC60N circuit breakers meet the requirements of IEC/EN 60947-2 and IEC/EN 60898-1 standards, which guarantees their safety and reliability. These are halogen-free products, which demonstrates care for the natural environment. A wide range of operating temperatures (-35°C to +70°C) allows their use in various environmental conditions. The degree of protection IP20 provides protection against accidental contact. Power losses are only 3W, which translates to energy efficiency of the installation.
