The iPRD40r-T2-4 surge arrester is a key element ensuring the safety of the electrical installation and protecting connected devices from the effects of overvoltage. This four-pole Type 2 device, with an impulse discharge capacity of 40 kA, effectively minimizes the risk of damage caused by lightning strikes or other disturbances in the network. Mounting on a TH-35 mm DIN rail facilitates integration with existing electrical infrastructure.

Construction and application

This arrester is designed to protect circuits with a rated voltage of 350 V. Its Type 2 technology makes it ideal for use in TN-C systems, providing effective protection against both differential and common mode surges. The built-in remote signaling contact allows for quick identification of a situation where the arrester has operated, which is particularly important in monitoring and remote control systems. Optical signaling additionally facilitates visual control of the device's status.
