iC60 circuit breakers – reliable installation protection

This single-pole iC60H-C1-1 circuit breaker with a rated current of 1A is part of the iC60 series, designed by Schneider Electric to protect electrical installations from the effects of overloads and short circuits. It is suitable for residential, commercial and industrial buildings. This circuit breaker complies with IEC/EN 60947-2 and IEC/EN 60898-1 standards, guaranteeing its high quality and reliability.

Design and functionality

The iC60H circuit breaker is characterized by a compact design – it occupies only one module width. It allows connection of wires with a cross-section from 1 to 25 mm² (solid) or from 1 to 16 mm² (stranded). Thanks to the double locking mechanism, mounting and dismounting the circuit breaker is simple and does not require tools. Additionally, the circuit breaker can be removed from the DIN rail without disassembling the entire rail. The VisiTrip indicator, signaling electrical tripping (red color), facilitates quick identification of a faulty circuit. The VisiSafe indicator informs about the physical opening of the contacts (green color), ensuring safety during maintenance work.

C characteristic and application

Characteristic C means that the circuit breaker will trip after 5-10 times the rated current. This makes it particularly suitable for protecting circuits with inductive loads, such as fluorescent lighting or electric motors. The rated short-circuit breaking capacity Icn is 10 kA at 230 V, and Icu according to IEC 60947-2 is as much as 70 kA – ensuring effective protection against serious failures. The energy limitation class is 3, which reduces the cost of downstream circuit protection. The circuit breaker operates in the frequency range of 50-60 Hz and in an ambient temperature from -35°C to 70°C. Its IP20 degree of protection provides basic protection against accidental contact.
