Circuit breakers iC60 – reliable installation protection

The iC60H-C4-1N circuit breaker is part of the iC60 series, designed to protect electrical circuits against the effects of overloads and short circuits. The device with a rated current of 4A and characteristic C is perfect for both home, commercial and industrial installations. Its compact size (2 module width) allows for efficient use of space in the switchboard.

This single-pole circuit breaker provides effective protection, meeting the requirements of IEC/EN 60947-2 and IEC/EN 60898-1 standards. The circuit breaker design allows for direct connection of wires with a cross-section of 1 to 25 mm² (solid) or 1 to 16 mm² (stranded), which facilitates installation and adaptation to different types of installations. The rated short-circuit breaking capacity Icn is 10 kA at 230 V, and Icu is as much as 70 kA, which guarantees safety in the event of serious disturbances.

Functionality and ease of use

The iC60H-C4-1N circuit breaker stands out for a number of features that facilitate installation and operation. The VisiTrip indicator signals the tripping of the circuit breaker caused by an overload or short circuit, making it easier to quickly identify the problem. Additionally, the VisiSafe indicator informs about the physical opening of the contacts, ensuring safety during maintenance work. The ability to remove a single device without having to remove the busbar and easy mounting on a DIN rail without tools significantly speed up the installation process.

The C characteristic of the circuit breaker allows it to react more slowly to short current surges, therefore it tolerates starting motors or other inductive loads well. Energy limitation class 3 provides optimal protection cost for the downstream circuit. The circuit breaker has a protection degree of IP20, which means protection against touching with a finger and against the ingress of solid objects larger than 12.5 mm. Power losses are only 2.4 W, which translates into energy savings.
