Overcurrent trip unit for Compact NSX circuit breakers

This MX overcurrent trip unit, designed for use with Compact NSX circuit breakers, allows for remote opening of the circuit breaker upon receiving an electrical pulse or a constant signal. This is particularly useful in automation systems, remote control, and emergency shutdown. The device opens the circuit breaker at a voltage of at least 70% of the rated voltage (U ≥ 0.7 x Un), ensuring reliable operation.

Functionality and application

The MX trip unit is powered by AC 220-240V and is activated by a signal lasting at least 20 ms or a constant command. This allows it to be used in various applications where remote circuit disconnection control is required. It is compatible with cam switches, which expands its application possibilities. It is worth noting that it is not compatible with overload relays or motor circuit breakers.

Installation and connections

The MX trip unit is equipped with spring-loaded terminals, which facilitate and speed up installation and ensure a secure electrical connection. The use of spring-loaded terminals minimizes the risk of connection loosening during operation. The device's power consumption is only 5W, which translates to low energy consumption.
