Acti9 Electrical Control System
The iCT50 modular contactor from the Acti9 series is an advanced device designed for remote control of electrical circuits in residential and commercial installations. Model A9C22824 offers a rated current of 20A and four normally open contacts (4NO).
The device operates at a control voltage of 220-240V AC and a working voltage of up to 400V. Its compact design occupies only 2 modules on a DIN rail (36mm width), allowing for space savings in distribution boards.
Construction and Design
The contactor is manufactured in accordance with the IEC/EN 61095 standard, guaranteeing the highest standards of safety and reliability. The housing provides an IP20 protection rating, which reaches IP40 when installed in a dedicated enclosure. The mounting depth is only 43.5mm, facilitating installation even in shallow distribution boards.
The design includes an optical indicator of the output contact status, allowing for quick status checks of the device without the need for disassembly. The possibility of expanding with additional auxiliary contacts allows for functionality to be tailored to specific installation needs.
Electrical parameters include a maximum power of 1.6W at 400V AC, energy consumption at a level of 4.6 VA in the holding state, and 34 VA during switching. The device operates in temperatures ranging from -5°C to +60°C.
Applications and Compatibility
The iCT50 model enables automatic control of LED lamp groups and traditional light sources up to specified parameters. In HVAC systems, it controls the operation of fans, blowers, and small heat pumps of a certain power.
In the heating sector, it is used for controlling electric heaters, central heating boilers, and domestic hot water heating systems of a certain capacity. Compatibility with all Acti9 series auxiliary devices allows for the creation of comprehensive building automation systems.
The maximum switching frequency is 6 operations per minute. Electrical endurance reaches up to 100000 cycles for categories AC-7A and AC-1, and 30000 cycles for categories AC-7C, AC-3, AC-5A, and AC-5B.
Advantages of Use and Mounting
Installation is fast thanks to the mounting system on a 35mm symmetrical DIN rail. The "clip-on" design eliminates the need for tools during assembly, significantly shortening installation time. Tunnel-type terminals allow for a solid connection of wires with cross-sections from 1 mm² to 6 mm².
The device offers high reliability due to mechanical durability reaching one million cycles and resistance to tropical class (2) environmental conditions. Local signaling via an LED informs about the current operating state of the apparatus.
An additional advantage is the possibility of integration with Modbus or Ethernet communication systems via dedicated SmartLink modules, enabling central monitoring of electrical energy consumption in commercial buildings.
