Advanced power quality analyzer for professional energy monitoring

PowerLogic PM5310 is a professional-grade flush-mounted power quality analyzer that provides comprehensive monitoring of electrical parameters in three-phase installations. The device is designed for demanding industrial and commercial applications, offering precise measurements of active and reactive energy in accordance with the IEC 62053-22 standard (accuracy class 0.5S).

Precise measurements and energy quality analysis

The analyzer performs measurements of all key electrical parameters: energy, active and reactive power, voltage, current, frequency, power factor, and up to the 31st harmonic. Thanks to a sampling frequency of 64 samples per cycle, the device ensures very high measurement resolution. The phase-to-phase voltage measurement range is 35-690 VAC, and phase-to-neutral is 20-400 VAC at a mains frequency of 45-65 Hz.

The rated current can be set to 1A or up to a maximum of Imax =8.5A, allowing for flexible configuration for different types of installations. The device supports single-phase with neutral (1P+N), three-phase (3P), and three-phase with neutral (3P+N) configurations. The supply voltage can be provided as AC (90-450V) or DC (100-300V), ensuring application versatility.

Advanced communication functions and data logging

The PowerLogic PM5310 is equipped with an RS485 communication port supporting Modbus RTU/ASCII protocols at transmission speeds of 9.6/19.2/38.4 kbaud. The device features 2500V galvanic isolation for communication safety. An internal memory capacity of 256 kB enables the recording of alarm logs (35 configurable alarms), event logs, and maintenance logs with timestamps.

The system supports load profile monitoring and tariff management through the support of 4 tariff schedules. Two configurable digital inputs/outputs are also available for integration with building automation or process control systems.

Construction, environmental parameters, and certifications

The device is front-mounted in a standard panel format with square dimensions of 96×96mm, allowing for easy installation in industrial switchboards. The mounting depth is only 72mm, and the total weight of the device is a compact 430g. A monochromatic LCD display with a resolution of 128×128 pixels ensures good readability of parameters even in low light.

An IP54 protection rating for the display guarantees resistance to dust and water droplets, while the rear of the device has an IP30 protection class. The operating temperature ranges from -25°C to +70°C (for the meter) and -20°C to +70°C (for the display), with non-condensing relative humidity. The device meets category III requirements for altitudes up to 2000 m CAT III and 3000 m CAT II.

PowerLogic PM5310 complies with the rigorous requirements of European standards EN 50470-3, EN 50470-1, EN 55011, EN 55022, and international standards IEC 62053-22, IEC 62053-24, IEC 60529, IEC 61557-12. It holds CE (IEC61010-1) and CULus (UL61010-1) certifications, confirming its safety for use in professional applications.
