TeSys D power contactor – reliable motor control

This TeSys D power contactor with a rated current of 65A and a power of 30kW is designed to control three-phase motors. It finds application in a wide range of installations – from industrial to commercial and domestic. Equipped with one normally open (1NO) and one normally closed (1NC) auxiliary contact, it provides flexibility in building control circuits. EVK (boxed) terminals facilitate quick and safe cable connection.

This contactor is characterized by high mechanical endurance, reaching 15 million switching cycles, which guarantees long-lasting and trouble-free operation even in demanding conditions. Integrated auxiliary contacts in a mirror configuration (NO+NC) allow direct use of the contactor in safety circuits, meeting the IEC standard. They are adapted to signals with a minimum current of 1 mA, allowing them to be connected directly to PLCs, simplifying the design of automation systems.

Design and application

The TeSys D contactor has been designed with ease of installation and a wide range of applications in mind. Its compact dimensions (55 mm wide, 122 mm high and 120 mm deep) allow for mounting in limited space. It is compliant with IEC60335-1, which confirms its increased resistance to fire and dust – important features for applications in residential buildings, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. The availability of technical documentation online via a QR code facilitates servicing and troubleshooting.

This model is also distinguished by its versatility – it will work in industrial plants, machines, power supply systems, water and wastewater management, and mining. Thanks to a wide range of available accessories, it can be adapted to the most demanding applications. The contactor complies with applicable industrial standards and global standards, including marine and UL certifications. Made of high-quality materials, it ensures reliability and durability. The rated operating current for AC-3 is 65A at 400V, and for AC-1 – 80A at the same voltage. The rated power for AC-3 is 30kW at 400V, and for AC-4 is 11kW at 400V and a rated current of 25A. The control voltage is 380...380V AC for a frequency of 50/60 Hz.
