Overload relay – protection for motors and installations

The TeSys LRD05 thermal overload relay is a reliable device used to protect electric motors and circuits against the effects of overload, phase failure, prolonged starting, and other irregularities. Designed to work with TeSys Deca series contactors, it provides comprehensive protection in demanding industrial applications and electrical installations. Thanks to the precise current setting range (0.63…1 A), it allows adaptation to the specific needs of the protected circuit.

Construction and functionality

The LRD05 relay is characterized by a solid construction and easy mounting – directly on contactors or on a DIN rail (using an additional adapter). It has built-in auxiliary contacts (1NO + 1NC) that allow remote monitoring of the device status and signaling of failures. An automatic or manual reset function is available, increasing flexibility in system configuration. A transparent, sealable cover protects the current settings from accidental changes. It is also equipped with a test button to simulate the operation of the trip unit.
