SYLAX Flapper Valve – Reliable Flow Control
The SYLAX flapper valve with manual lever drive is a robust solution for flow regulation in water and industrial installations. The design allows for precise control, and the materials used guarantee long-lasting and trouble-free operation. Ideal for systems requiring manual flow control, where reliability and ease of use are important.
Construction and Application
The valve is designed for mounting on PN6/10/16 flanged connections with a nominal diameter of DN65 (2 1/2 inches). Made of GG25 cast iron, coated with an epoxy coating, it provides corrosion and mechanical damage resistance. A replaceable stainless steel AISI316 disc and EPDM lining guarantee tightness and compatibility with various media. A one-piece stainless steel shaft increases the durability and reliability of the drive mechanism.
- Flapper design minimizes pressure loss and facilitates medium flow.
- Lever drive enables quick and intuitive flow adjustment even in difficult conditions.
- Centering holes in the housing facilitate precise mounting and ensure installation stability.
- Replaceable sealing elements and disc allow for easy maintenance and adaptation of the valve to various applications.
Operating Parameters and Safety
The SYLAX valve is designed to operate at a maximum differential pressure of 16 bar and a medium temperature of up to 120°C. The EPDM rubber seal ensures high tightness in the temperature range of -10°C to +120°C. ANSI / FCI 70-2 (IEC 60534-4) – I tightness class confirms the high quality of workmanship and reliability of the device.
- Housing material: GG 25 (GJL-250) cast iron – provides mechanical strength and corrosion resistance.
- EPDM seal: Guarantees tightness over a wide range of temperatures and pressures.
- Maximum working pressure: 16 bar – allows use in installations with increased pressure.
- Maximum medium temperature: 120°C – allows operation with hot liquids and gases.
