Cam switch – reliable circuit control

This 15A cam switch, also known as a voltage measurement switch, is a robust and versatile device designed to switch electrical circuits on and off. It is suitable for both industrial installations and public buildings. The switch design allows for the creation of various connection programs, tailored to the specific needs of the application.

Construction and application

The cam switch is a rotating element, adapted to work with currents up to 15A. It finds application as a switch, disconnector, switch or control switch in enclosures of low-voltage electrical installations. Thanks to the IP65 protection class, it is resistant to dust and moisture, which allows its use in harsh environmental conditions. The possibility of indirect mounting facilitates integration with existing systems.

Made of durable plastic, the switch ensures long-lasting and reliable operation. Its segmented construction allows configuration with a different number of segments (up to 16), and the angles of the drive knob can be 30°, 45° or 90°, providing great flexibility in circuit design. This model is available in a version with a 0 position, which facilitates safe circuit disconnection. Designed for panel mounting (P).

Parameters and safety

The switch is characterized by high technical parameters: the rated continuous current is 15A, and the rated power for AC-3 at 400V is 8kW. It meets the requirements of PN-EN60947-3 and IEC 60947-3 standards, guaranteeing safety of use. Additionally, it meets standards regarding resistance to vibrations, shocks, heat, cold and salt mist. The rated insulation voltage is 500V and the impulse withstand voltage is 4kV. The rated short-circuit current is as high as 2kA, providing additional safety for the installation.
