Automatic fire alarm button OP1 – reliable protection for your installation

The OP1 fire alarm button is an element of a fire alarm system, designed for manual alarm activation in case of a hazard. Model OP1-W01-A\01 is a surface-mounted version, ideal for mounting on wall surfaces. Its red housing made of durable plastic ensures high visibility and resistance to mechanical damage. The IP65 protection class guarantees resistance to dust and water jets, allowing its use in various environmental conditions – both indoors and in places exposed to moisture.

Construction and operating principle

The OP1 type A button is characterized by automatic release after breaking the protective glass. This means that after the glass is broken, the button automatically returns to its initial position, which facilitates the identification of the activated alarm and allows for a quick response. It is equipped with protective glass, which prevents accidental activation of the alarm. This makes it reliable and easy to use.

The button has NO (normally open), NC (normally closed) and mixed NC/NO contact tracks, providing great flexibility in connecting to various alarm systems. Depending on the configuration of the tracks, after breaking the glass, the closing tracks open, and the opening tracks close or vice versa – it all depends on the selected type of connection.

Application and compliance with standards

The OP1 button is used in industrial, public utility premises and everywhere where manual fire signaling is required. It complies with the PN-EN 54-11 standard, which confirms its high quality and reliability. It has a certificate of approval No. 2266/2014 and an EC certificate of conformity No. 1438/CPD/0130. The possibility of connecting an LED (optional) enables visual signaling of the alarm state.

Information on technical parameters: the dimensions of the housing are 113 mm wide, 113 mm high and 52 mm deep. The connection wires should have a cross-section of 2× 1...2.5 mm² for solid wires or 2× 0.75...1.5 mm² for stranded wires. The rated insulation voltage is 500 V, and the rated continuous current is 10 A. The rated switching current AC-15 is 2.5 A (230 V) / 1.6 A (400/500 V), while the rated switching current DC-13 is 4 A (24 V) / 1 A (110 V) / 0.25 A (220 V).
