Cam switch – reliable circuit switching

A cam switch is a device used for manual switching of electrical circuits. Model ŁK40-2.8338\P06, with a rated current of 40A, finds application in both industrial installations and commercial and residential construction. The design allows you to select one of several positions, including the "0" (off) position, which ensures safety and control over the circuit. This particular model is a 1-0-2 switch, which means you can choose between two circuits or turn both off.

Construction and application

SPAMEL cam switches are characterized by a solid construction and high reliability. The mounting method (P06 version) allows for easy mounting on a control panel or in an enclosure. The device is particularly useful where frequent circuit switching is required, e.g. in motor control, lighting or heating systems. The ability to configure with different bezels (e.g. P03 with I bezel – IP65) increases the range of applications, enabling operation in harsh environmental conditions. Made of high-quality materials, it guarantees long life and resistance to mechanical damage.

The device is designed for continuous operation at a rated insulation voltage of 500V and a withstand impulse voltage of 4kV. The continuous rated current is 16A, and the switching current in category AC-15 is 7A (at 500V). The mechanical endurance of the switch is as high as 3 million switching cycles, which proves its durability and reliability. Thanks to the possibility of extension in multiples of 12.5 mm, it can be adapted to specific installation requirements. The cross-section of the connecting wires is 1.5...4 mm², and the tightening torque of the terminals is 1.2 Nm. The degree of protection IP41 with respect to the panel provides basic protection against access to live parts and against splashing water.
