This two-speed cam switch, also known as a Dahlander switch, is a robust solution for controlling electric motors and other devices requiring a change in direction of rotation or selection of two speeds. Design and operating parameters

The switch features a two-pole design and a continuous rated current of 15A. The rated power for AC-3 at 400V is 8 kW, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. The connection of the main contacts is made using screw connections, ensuring a secure and durable connection of the wires. The IP65 protection class of the front panel guarantees protection against dust and water jets, and also increases safety of use in harsh environmental conditions. The housing made of plastic provides good electrical insulation and corrosion resistance.

Installation and application

The switch is designed for indirect mounting, which facilitates its integration with existing installations. It has a "0" position, allowing for safe disconnection of the circuit. The yellow-red (IP41) front panel provides good visibility of the switch status. Thanks to its design, the switch finds application in motor starters, lighting control systems and other applications requiring reliable switching of electrical circuits. The ability to configure with a different number of segments (up to 16) allows you to adapt the switch to the specific needs of the user. The short-circuit withstand current Icw(1s) is 0.5 kA and the short-circuit making current Icm is 2 kA – which proves its resistance to overloads.
