Universal cam switch for various applications

This three-pole cam switch, with a rated current of 25A, is a reliable solution for controlling electrical circuits. Designed for both panel mounting and enclosure installation, it is suitable for industrial applications, machines and control devices. Equipped with a 0-1 switch, it enables safe and convenient switching of the load on and off. C characteristic provides resistance to short-term overloads, which is particularly important when starting motors or other devices with high inrush current.

Construction and functionality

The switch has a yellow-red knob that makes it easy to identify the circuit status – yellow indicates the off state (0) and red indicates the on state (1). The design allows for panel mounting using a 48 mm diameter hole. The IP65 protection rating guarantees resistance to dust and water jets, making it suitable for operation in harsh environmental conditions. Solid screw connections ensure safe and durable connection of wires with a cross-section of 4…10 mm².

Parameters and application

The device is characterized by high mechanical durability – it withstands up to 3 million switching cycles. The rated short-circuit current is 10 kA, and the rated short-time withstand current (1s) is 0.5 kA. The rated switching power in category AC-23A is 6 kW at 230 V, 11 kW at 400 V, 14 kW at 500 V and 20 kW at 690 V. Thanks to this, the switch finds application in controlling various loads, such as motors, heaters or lighting. A wide range of operating temperatures (-40°C to +70°C) allows its use in various climatic conditions. Additionally, it meets standards regarding resistance to vibrations and shocks.
