Construction and application
The SK40 rotary cam switch is a device used to change the direction of rotation of three-phase motors. The cam-based design ensures smooth and reliable switching, minimizing the risk of mechanical damage. The L-0-P switch allows you to choose between the motor working to the left, turning off, and working to the right. This makes it ideal for applications requiring frequent changes in the direction of rotation, such as in packaging machines, production lines or cranes.
Parameters and user features
The device is characterized by high technical parameters, guaranteeing safe and efficient operation. The rated insulation voltage is 690V, and the rated continuous current is 40A (depending on the source – 50A or 40A). Mechanical endurance at 3 million switching cycles ensures long-lasting and trouble-free operation. The IP65 protection degree guarantees resistance to dust and water jets, allowing installation in harsh environmental conditions. Connection cables with a cross-section of 4…10 mm² ensure easy and safe installation.
Additionally, the switch meets IEC standards regarding resistance to vibration, impact and cyclic damp heat, which confirms its high quality and reliability. The OB2 housing provides additional protection against mechanical damage and the effects of atmospheric factors. Mounting on the panel is simple and convenient thanks to the standard □48 (or □68 depending on the source) hole. The tightening torque of the terminals is 1.2 Nm (or 4.4 Nm depending on the source).
