Product features
- Manual activation button – a key element of the fire protection system
This red, surface-mounted activation button PWP1 is a reliable device used to manually activate the fire power disconnect. Its main task is to disconnect the power supply in the event of a fire, which is crucial for the safety of people and property. The button is designed for mounting near building entrances or the main connection, with clear labeling.
Design and functionality
Made of durable plastic, the PWP1 button is characterized by a high degree of protection IP65, which guarantees its resistance to dust and moisture – both during normal operation and in difficult environmental conditions. It has a built-in LED indicator: green (power supply interruption) and red (disconnect activation), which facilitates quick assessment of the system status. The red LED goes out after breaking the glass, and the green LED lights up, informing about the power disconnection. The LEDs are finished with a connection box, and the green LED should be powered from a separate source before the disconnect.
The button is available in a self-resetting version after breaking the glass (type A) or requiring manual release after breaking the glass (type B). The choice of the appropriate type depends on the specifics of the installation and safety requirements. It is worth paying attention to the minimum number of wires needed for connection – in the case of the version with two LEDs, a minimum of 5 wires is required.
Application and compliance with standards
The PWP1 button is used in public, industrial and residential buildings where effective power disconnection is required in the event of a fire. It meets the requirements of PN-EN 60947-5-1, IEC 60947-5-1 and IEC 60947-1 standards, which confirms its high quality and reliability. It also has a National Technical Assessment CNBOP-PIB-KOT-2019/2024/0110-1014 and a National Certificate of Conformity No. 063-UWB-0625.
The device can be used as an element of the “Fire power disconnect” provided that an appropriate information plate is placed above it (included). It is important to properly select the current paths (NO/NC) depending on the needs of the installation.
