Internal hydrant with semi-rigid hose – reliable fire protection

This internal hydrant, designed for installation in buildings, is a key element of the fire protection system. Equipped with a 30-meter semi-rigid hose and a solid brass valve, it provides quick and effective access to water in the event of a hazard. The suspended design (type Z) simplifies installation and allows for flexible placement of the hydrant in the room. A patent lock ensures security and limits access to the equipment to authorized personnel.

Construction and application

The hydrant consists of a durable steel cabinet powder-coated in white (RAL 9003), which houses the hose reel, PWh-25 nozzle, and the 30-meter semi-rigid hose. The absence of clamping bands and the use of only threaded connections increase the tightness and reliability of the entire system. The hydrant complies with PN-EN 694 and PN-EN-671-1 standards, guaranteeing its high quality and safety. Thanks to its universal design, the hydrant can be connected to a supply installation with a diameter of 1” or 2”, offering six different connection options – from the side, from the back, or from the top.

Information on performance at different working pressures: at a pressure of 0.2 MPa, a flow of 61 l/min is obtained with a diffused stream and 60 l/min with a solid stream; at a pressure of 0.4 MPa – 86 l/min and 85 l/min, respectively; and at a pressure of 0.6 MPa – 104 l/min and 103 l/min. Remember that the hydrant's performance is closely related to the water pressure in the installation – this relationship is described by the equation Q = K√10P, where Q is the flow in l/min, and P is the pressure in MPa. The coefficient K for this model is 43 for a diffused stream and 46 for a solid stream.
