Shielded control cable LiYCY-P – reliability in control and power systems

The LiYCY-P 0.6/1 kV control cable is a flexible solution designed for use in control, safety and steering systems, as well as for supplying electrical power. The construction with a screen provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference, both to minimize the impact of external sources and to limit the emission of interference generated by the cable itself. This is crucial in industrial environments and automation, where signal accuracy is a priority.

This cable is particularly recommended for permanent installations and for movable connections inside buildings. Its polyvinyl chloride (PVC) coating exhibits good resistance to oils, making it suitable for operation in harsh industrial conditions. Therefore, it works well in workshops, production halls and other facilities exposed to contact with lubricants.

Construction and design features

The LiYCY-P cable is characterized by a careful construction ensuring high quality and durability:

• Cores: flexible, stranded, twisted from soft copper wires (optionally tinned), class 5 according to PN-EN 60228 – guarantee flexibility and resistance to material fatigue during repeated bending.
• Core insulation: made of insulating polyvinyl chloride (PVC) in colors according to DIN VDE 47100 – facilitates identification of cores during installation and maintenance.
• Twisted pairs: insulated cores twisted in pairs minimize mutual interaction between signals transmitted in the cable.
• Screen: braid of tinned copper wires with effective coverage density – provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference.
• Sheath: made of plasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC) in gray RAL 7001 – protects the cable against mechanical damage and the effects of atmospheric factors.

This cable has 12 cores with a cross-section of 1 mm², which allows for the transmission of a large number of control or power signals. The cable construction has been designed to ensure reliable operation even in demanding operating conditions. Additionally, special versions of the cable are available tailored to specific needs:

• LiYCEY-P: with a flexible grounding core for increased safety.
• LiYCY-P-O: resistant to petroleum-based materials, ideal for gas stations or fuel warehouses.
• LiYC11Y-P: with increased mechanical strength, resistant to abrasion and tearing, as well as to bacteria and ultraviolet rays.
• LiYCYv-P: with a reinforced PVC coating allowing installation outdoors and directly in the ground.
