Control cable – reliability in control and power systems

The LiYCY-P-Nr 0.6/1 kV control cable is a flexible, shielded solution designed for use in control, safety and steering systems, as well as for supplying electrical power. The construction with twisted pairs minimizes mutual interference between signals, which translates into stability and precision of operation. Additional shielding protects against electromagnetic interference from both outside and prevents its emission.

Construction and application

These cables are ideal for indoor applications, both in fixed and movable installations. The polyvinyl chloride (PVC) coating provides resistance to oils, expanding their range of applications. The cable consists of:

• flexible, stranded copper conductors (tinned on request),
• core insulation made of insulating PVC (PVC) – colors according to DIN VDE 47100 or black and brown with white numbering of the pair (in the LiYCY-P-Nr version),
• twisted insulated cores,
• a center wrapped with a polyester tape,
• a screen in the form of a braid of tinned copper wires,
• a jacket made of robust PVC (PVC) in gray RAL 7001 (other colors available on request).

The nominal conductor cross-section is 0.5 mm², and the number of cores is 4.

• LiYC11Y-P/LiYC11Y-P-Nr: With increased mechanical strength, resistant to abrasion, tearing and the action of bacteria and UV radiation. Made of polyurethane.
• LiYCYv-P/LiYCYv-P-Nr: With a reinforced PVC coating for outdoor installations and direct burial in the ground.
