Shielded control cable – reliability in control and power systems

The LiYCY-P-Nr 0.6/1 kV control cable is a flexible solution designed for use in control, safety and steering systems, as well as for supplying electrical power. The construction with twisted pairs minimizes mutual interference between signals, ensuring stable data transmission. A common screen effectively protects against electromagnetic interference from both external sources and prevents its emission to the outside.

This cable is ideal for use indoors, both in fixed installations and where flexible connections are required. Additionally, the PVC coating is characterized by good resistance to oils, which expands its range of applications.

Construction and design features

The key to the durability and reliability of this cable is its carefully designed construction:

• Conductors: flexible, stranded, made of soft copper wires (optionally tinned), meeting the requirements of PN-EN 60228 class 5.
• Insulation: polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation in colors according to DIN VDE 47100 (in the LiYCY-P 0.6/1 kV version) or black and brown with white numbering of the pair (in the LiYCY-P-Nr 0.6/1 kV version).
• Twisted pairs: insulated conductors are twisted in pairs, which reduces interference.
• Core: twisted pairs form the cable core, which is wrapped with a polyester tape for additional protection.
• Screen: effective braid of tinned copper wires provides high shielding efficiency.
• Sheath: made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) in gray RAL 7001 – other colors are also available on request.

The nominal conductor cross-section is 0.75 mm², and the number of conductors is 16. This configuration allows for the transmission of control and power signals in various industrial and construction applications.
