Control cable – reliability in automation and control
This grey LiYY control cable with a cross-section of 6x0.25 mm² is an ideal solution for a wide range of applications in control, signaling, monitoring and data transmission systems. The cable is designed for demanding operating conditions in industrial electronics and automation, ensuring reliable operation and long-term durability.
TECHNOTRONIK LiYY cables are characterized by high flexibility and small dimensions while maintaining high mechanical strength. This combination makes them easy to install even in tight spaces and resistant to damage during operation. They are suitable for both fixed and mobile installations inside buildings. Additionally, the cable jacket exhibits good resistance to oils, increasing its durability in industrial environments.
Construction and properties
The cable is made of multi-wire, twisted copper conductors (tinned on request), insulated with PVC insulation in colors according to DIN VDE 47100. The twisted strands are layered around a core, and the whole is surrounded by a PVC jacket in grey RAL 7001. This construction provides flexibility, mechanical strength and resistance to external factors.
LiYY cables are designed for the transmission of analog and digital signals, as well as for powering small receivers – provided that the permissible current carrying capacity is observed. In case of strong electromagnetic interference, it is recommended to use shielded LiYCY cables available from the manufacturer.
Available special versions
The manufacturer also offers specialized versions of LiYY cables:
- LiYY-O: oil-resistant cables, designed for use in places exposed to contact with petroleum-based materials (e.g. gas stations).
- LiY11Y: cables with increased mechanical strength, resistant to abrasion, tearing, oil and gasoline, and UV radiation.
- LiHH: halogen-free cables, providing greater fire safety due to limited emission of smoke and corrosive gases during combustion.
