The LAN-T15 Cat.5 cable is a robust solution for building computer networks, both indoors and outdoors. Designed for data, voice and high-definition television (HDTV) transmission, it is suitable for industrial networks and other demanding environments. Its construction provides resistance to electromagnetic interference, ensuring a stable connection and trouble-free communication.

Construction and Protection

The cable features a careful construction that ensures its durability and reliability. The cable core filled with petroleum jelly effectively protects against moisture penetration, and a longitudinally laid aluminum tape laminated with plastic forms an additional moisture barrier. The cores made of soft copper wires with a diameter of 0.8 mm provide flexibility and facilitate installation. Twisted pairs of cores minimize interference, and color coding facilitates identification during installation. The polyethylene (PE) coating is resistant to UV radiation and weather conditions.

Technical Parameters and Application

The cable has a wave impedance of 100 ± 15 Ω and a nominal core cross-section of 0.8 mm². It has 8 cores, providing sufficient bandwidth for most network applications. It is intended for laying in cable ducts, directly in the ground and inside buildings. It meets the requirements of PN-EN 50288-2-1 and IEC 61156-1 standards, confirming its quality and compliance with applicable standards. The minimum bending radius is 15 x the cable diameter, making installation easier even in tight spaces. The cable operates in a temperature range of -40°C to +70°C during operation and -10°C to +50°C during laying.
