Non-flammable control cable – reliability and installation safety
This non-flammable control cable, marked as YnKSLY-Nr 0.6/1 kV, is a robust solution for both professional installers and end users. Designed for control systems, safety circuits, and electrical power supply, it performs reliably in industrial installations, production lines, and air conditioning equipment. The cable stands out for its high flexibility and mechanical durability, facilitating installation and ensuring long-term operation.
Construction and properties
The cable is designed with safety in mind. Its outer sheath is made of special self-extinguishing rubberized PVC, preventing flame propagation in case of fire—complying with standard PN-EN 60332-3. The conductors are flexible, multi-stranded, twisted from soft Class 5 copper wires (zinc-coating available on request). Insulation of the cores is made of black insulating PVC with white printed wire numbers for easy identification. In YnKSLY-zo-Nr type cables, the green-yellow protective conductor is arranged in the outer layer. The cable core is wrapped with polyester tape for additional protection.
Applications and benefits
This cable performs excellently in fixed installations as well as in moving connections within buildings. Its resistance to oils makes it ideal for industrial environments exposed to petroleum-based substances. Consequently, it is widely used in petrol stations, warehouses, and material handling terminals.
The non-flammable sheath minimizes the risk of fire spread, while the durable construction ensures long-term operation even under harsh conditions. Flexible conductors simplify installation and routing in confined spaces, and excellent oil resistance broadens the range of applications. White wire numbering facilitates identification during installation and maintenance.
The cable contains 20 cores with a cross-section of 1 mm². Operating voltage is 0.6/1 kV, test voltage is 3500 V (50 Hz). Insulation resistance is 20 MΩ × km. Minimum bending radius for flexible connections is 10× cable diameter; for fixed installation, it is 5× cable diameter. Operating temperature range: -30°C to 70°C for fixed installation; -5°C to 70°C for moving installations.
