Fire-resistant control cable – reliability and safety of installation

This fire-resistant YnKSLY-Nr 0.6/1 kV control cable is a solid solution for both professional installers and end-users looking for safe and durable wiring. Designed for control, protection, and power systems, it is suitable for industrial installations, production lines, or air conditioning units. The cable is characterized by high flexibility and mechanical strength, which facilitates installation and ensures long-term operation.

Construction and properties

The cable has been designed with safety in mind. The coating made of special flame-retardant polyvinyl chloride (PVC) with an increased oxygen index meets the PN-EN 60332-3 standard, guaranteeing no spread of flame along a vertically installed cable bundle. The cable consists of:

• Conductors: flexible, stranded with soft copper wires class 5 according to PN-EN 60228 (tinning on request).
• Insulation: black PVC insulation (PVC) with white numbering of the conductor for easy identification.
• Core: twisted layers of insulated conductors, in the version with a protective conductor (YnKSLYżo-Nr) a green-yellow conductor is placed in the outer layer.
• Wrapping: polyester tape wrapped around the cable core for additional protection.
• Sheath: special flame-retardant PVC with increased fire resistance, black RAL 9005 color (other colors available on request).

Thanks to this construction, the cable is resistant to oils and is suitable for permanent laying and for movable connections inside buildings.

The cable is characterized by a conductor cross-section of 0.5 mm² and has 40 conductors, making it an ideal solution for complex installations requiring a large number of control wires.
