This orange fire-resistant power cable (N)HXCH FE180 PH90/E90 0,6/1 kV, with 12 cores of 2.5 mm² cross-section, is designed to ensure uninterrupted power supply during fire hazards. It is a critical component in installations within buildings and facilities with enhanced fire safety requirements, where reliable operation of life-saving and property-protecting equipment is paramount.

This cable is especially vital in emergency power systems for fire safety devices such as water pumps, smoke extraction fans, smoke dampers, and emergency lighting. It maintains electrical functionality for 90 minutes—sufficient time for safe evacuation and effective firefighting operations. It holds a Certificate of Conformity and Approval Certificate issued by the Scientific and Research Center for Fire Protection – PIB in Józefów, confirming compliance with the highest safety standards.

Construction and Properties

The cable is manufactured from high-quality materials ensuring reliability and durability. Its construction includes:

• Conductors: Soft copper strands available in two classes – RE (single-wire round) or RM (multi-wire round).
• Insulation: Special cross-linked silicone rubber, providing high resistance to heat and flame. Core insulation colors comply with PN-HD 308 standard or are black with white numbering.
• Core: Layers of stranded conductors for enhanced protection against mechanical damage.
• Filling: Halogen-free material minimizing emission of toxic gases during fire.
• Screen: Coaxial conductor made of bare copper strands and a copper tape helical counter-twist, wrapped in polyester tape—providing additional protection against electromagnetic interference.
• Sheath: Made of halogen-free (HFFR) material with HM4 properties according to PN-HD 604 S1, in orange color—offering UV resistance and self-extinguishing properties.

Thanks to halogen-free materials, the cable does not propagate flame, and the smoke emitted has very low toxicity and causes no corrosion. It can be used both indoors and outdoors. Additional protection against water and moisture allows installation even in water or soil.
