Fire-resistant power cable – safety and reliability in critical situations
This seven-core fire-resistant NHXH-J FE180 PH90/E90 power cable with a cross-section of 6 mm² is an advanced solution designed for installations requiring the highest level of fire safety. Manufactured from high-quality materials, it ensures not only effective power transmission but also protection of life and property in the event of a fire. This cable is particularly recommended for use in public utility buildings, industrial facilities, and anywhere continuous power supply is essential during emergency situations.
Fire resistance and material properties
TECHNOFLAME NHXH-J FE180 cables exhibit exceptional fire resistance, certified and approved by the Scientific and Research Center for Fire Protection – PIB. Made from halogen-free compounds, they do not propagate flame, emit minimal smoke, and release no toxic or corrosive gases during combustion. These are critical features for ensuring safe evacuation and facilitating firefighting operations. Additionally, the cable sheath is made from HFFR (Highly Flame Retardant) material, complying with standard PN-HD 604 S1, guaranteeing a high level of protection.
Construction and application
The cable consists of seven soft copper strands (RE – single-wire round conductors, class 1), insulated with cross-linked halogen-free compound. The insulated cores are layered and surrounded by a filling layer and an outer sheath made of HFFR material in orange color. This construction ensures high flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage.
These cables are widely used in:
- Electrical installations in buildings with enhanced fire safety requirements (hospitals, shopping centers, cinemas, stadiums).
- Powering critical equipment during evacuation and fire suppression (water pumps, smoke extraction fans, emergency lighting).
- Indoor and outdoor installations – including areas protected by fixed water-based fire suppression systems.
- Permanent installation in environments exposed to UV radiation (with appropriate moisture protection, they may also be laid underwater or underground).
