Fire-resistant telecommunication cable – safety and reliability in critical installations

This red HTKSH FE180 PH90/E30-E90 telecommunication cable with a cross-section of 0.8 mm² and 40 cores is designed to provide the highest level of safety in installations requiring fire resistance. It is ideal for alarm, signaling, teletransmission, DSO and data transmission systems in facilities with increased fire protection requirements. Its construction and materials guarantee not only reliable operation but also minimize risk in the event of a fire.

Protection in emergency situations and advanced construction

The cable meets stringent safety standards, confirmed by the Certificate of Conformity and the Approval Certificate of the Fire Protection Research Center – PIB in Józefów. Made of high-quality halogen-free materials, it does not spread flames, emits minimal smoke and produces non-toxic and non-corrosive gases during combustion. These are key features for protecting people and equipment in hazardous situations. Additionally, the cable is water-resistant (according to PN-EN 50200 Annex E) and can be used in rooms equipped with sprinkler systems.

The cable construction includes:

• single-wire copper cores providing good flexibility and easy installation,
• halogen-free plastic insulation in colors compliant with PN-92/T-90321 for easy core identification,
• twisted pair insulated cores, which minimize electromagnetic interference,
• a polyester tape wrap for additional mechanical protection,
• a red halogen-free (HFFR) jacket meeting EN 50290-2-27 and VDE 0250-214 – HM2 standards.

This makes the cable durable, resistant to mechanical damage and ensures long-lasting reliability. The minimum bending radius is 10x the cable diameter, making installation easier even in tight spaces. The operating temperature range is from -30°C to +80°C and during laying from -5°C to +70°C.

The HTKSH FE180 PH90/E30-E90 cable is intended for permanent internal installations. Its properties make it an ideal solution for:

It complies with PN-EN 50200+Annex E or PN-EN 50362 and IEC 60331-21, IEC 60331-11 (insulation durability FE180). It also has CNBOP-PIB-KOT-2021/0296-3701 issue.1; WT-TK-43. Its conductivity is below 2.5 µS/mm and its light transmittance is at least 80%. The cable's flammability has been classified as flame retardant with reduced flammability PH90.
