Fire-resistant telecommunication cable – safety and reliability of connections.
The fire-resistant telecommunication cable HTKSH FE180 PH90/E30-E90 is an advanced solution designed for installation in places with increased fire safety requirements. It is ideal for alarm systems, signaling systems, teletransmission systems, sound warning systems (DSO), and data transmission in industrial electronics and automation installations. The cable is designed to ensure continuous operation even in extreme fire conditions.
Construction and application
TECHNOFLAME HTKSH FE180 PH90/E30-E90 cables are distinguished by a construction that provides maximum safety. Made of soft copper wires, insulated with halogen-free plastic, twisted in pairs and the core wrapped with a polyester tape. The whole is surrounded by a red sheath of halogen-free HFFR plastic, meeting the standards EN 50290-2-27 and VDE 0250-214 – HM2. This combination of materials guarantees resistance to flame propagation, low smoke emission, and the absence of toxic and corrosive gases during a fire. The cable has a Certificate of Conformity and a Certificate of Approval from the Building Research Institute - PIB in Józefów.
The cable is water-resistant according to PN-EN 50200 Annex E, which allows it to be used even in rooms with sprinkler systems. Designed for permanent indoor installations.
Key features and benefits
- Fire resistance: Ensures the maintenance of cable functions (data transmission and power supply) during a fire and its extinguishing.
- Halogen-free: Minimizes the risk to human health and damage to electronic equipment in the event of a fire – the emitted gases are non-toxic and non-corrosive.
- Wide application: Ideal for alarm systems, signaling systems, DSO, and data transmission in facilities with stringent fire safety requirements.
- Water resistance: Possibility of use in rooms with water extinguishing systems.
- Durability: Made of high-quality materials ensuring long-lasting and reliable operation.
- Compliance with standards: Meets stringent fire safety standards (AT-0603-0098/2011/2016; WT-TK-43).
- Flexibility: Stranded copper wires make installation and cable routing easier.
The cable is characterized by a nominal conductor cross-section of 0.8 mm² and has 8 conductors, providing sufficient bandwidth for various telecommunication applications. The minimum insulation resistance is 500 MΩ·km and the operating voltage is 240V with a test voltage of 1500V AC. The cable inductance is approximately 0.7 mH/km and the loop resistance is a maximum of 75 Ω/km for conductors with a cross-section of 0.8 mm². The operating temperature range during operation is -30 to +80°C and during installation from -5 to +70°C. The minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter.
