Fire-resistant telecommunication cable – safety and reliability in critical installations
This red telecommunication cable HTKSHekw FE180 PH90/E30-E90, manufactured by TECHNOKABEL S.A., is designed for use in alarm, signaling, and warning systems where maintaining continuous operation even in the event of a fire is crucial. Intended for permanent connections inside buildings, it meets high fire resistance requirements and provides effective protection of installations and user safety.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by an advanced construction that guarantees its reliability and resistance to extreme conditions. Made of 20 cores with a cross-section of 1.4 mm², each is insulated with halogen-free material, minimizing the emission of toxic gases in the event of a fire. The cores are twisted in pairs, then in a center, which is additionally wrapped with a polyester tape for structural reinforcement. A common static screen made of laminated metal foil protects against electromagnetic interference, ensuring stable signal transmission. Additionally, under the screen there is an earthing conductor made of tinned copper wires. The whole is surrounded by a red coating made of halogen-free material (HFFR), meeting the standards EN 50290-2-27 and VDE 0250-214 – HM2.

In the event of a fire, the cable maintains functionality – ensures data transmission and power supply to critical devices during evacuation and firefighting operations. It does not spread flames, and the emitted smoke is of low toxicity and does not cause corrosion.
