Fire-resistant control cable – reliability and safety of installation
This 20-core fire-resistant control cable, with a cross-section of 1.5 mm², is a solid solution for both professional installers and end-users. Designed for use in control, safety and power systems, it ensures safe and efficient operation in a wide range of industrial and building applications. The cable is characterized by high flexibility and mechanical strength, which facilitates installation and ensures long-term operation.
Construction and properties
The cable is made of high-quality materials, guaranteeing its reliability. Multi-wire copper conductors (class 5 according to PN-EN 60228) provide good electrical conductivity. The core insulation is made of black polyvinyl chloride (PVC) with white numbering print, which facilitates the identification of individual wires. The cores are twisted around a center wrapped with a polyester tape, and the whole is covered with a special self-extinguishing polyvinyl chloride sheathing with increased fire resistance (RAL 9005). This construction meets the PN-EN 60332-3 standard, guaranteeing no spread of flame in the event of a fire.
This cable is intended for permanent laying and for movable connections inside buildings. Additionally, the coating exhibits good resistance to oils, which expands its range of applications. Special versions of the cable are also available:
- Oil-resistant version (YnKSLY-Nr-O): ideal for petrol stations, warehouses or reloading stations for liquid fuels.
- Version for outdoor laying (YnvKSLY-Nr): reinforced sheathing allows direct burial of the cable in the ground.
- Halogen-free version (HKSLH-NR): provides greater safety in the event of a fire due to low smoke emission and the absence of corrosive gases.
