Flame-retardant control cable – reliability and installation safety
This black control cable YnKSLY-Nr 0.6/1 kV with a cross-section of 7x1.0 mm² is a robust solution for both professional installers and end users. Designed for control systems, safety circuits, automation, and electrical power supply, it performs reliably in industrial installations, production lines, and air conditioning equipment. The cable has been engineered with safety in mind—its outer sheath is made of self-extinguishing flame-retardant polyvinyl chloride (PVC), complying with standard PN-EN 60332-3 for limiting flame spread.
Construction and application
The cable stands out for its flexibility and mechanical strength, facilitating installation and ensuring long-term durability. The stranded, multi-wire copper conductors (Class 5 according to PN-EN 60228) are insulated with black flame-retardant PVC featuring white printed numbering. In the YnKSLY-žo-Nr version, the green-yellow protective conductor is positioned in the outer layer. The cable core is wrapped in polyester tape and enclosed in a special flame-retardant PVC sheath in black color RAL 9005.
This cable is ideal for both fixed installations and moving connections within buildings. Additionally, the sheath exhibits resistance to oils. Special variants are also available:
- TECHNOKONTROL YnKSLY-Nr-O: Designed for environments with frequent exposure to petroleum-based materials (e.g., fuel stations). Features an oil-resistant sheath (PN-EN 60811-2-1).
- TECHNOKONTROL YnvKSLY-Nr: Reinforced sheath enabling outdoor installation and direct burial in soil.
- TECHNOKONTROL HKSLH-NR: Halogen-free cables offering enhanced fire safety—limiting flame spread, minimizing smoke emission, and avoiding corrosive gas release.
