Fire-resistant control cable – reliability and safety in installations

This black control cable YnKSLY-Nr 500V 4x1.5 from TECHNOKABEL is a solid solution for both professional installers and end users. Designed for control, protection and power systems, it ensures safe and efficient energy transmission in industrial installations and buildings. The cable is characterized by high flexibility, mechanical strength and resistance to external factors.

Construction and properties

The cable is designed for demanding working conditions. Its construction is based on multi-wire copper conductors, which provide flexibility and facilitate installation. The conductors are insulated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) with white numbering printing, which facilitates identification during installation and servicing. Twisted in layers around a core, additionally secured with a polyester tape, and the whole is surrounded by a special self-extinguishing polyvinyl chloride sheathing with increased fire resistance. Thanks to this, the cable meets the PN-EN 60332-3 standard, guaranteeing the limitation of fire propagation in the event of a fire.

The YnKSLY-Nr control cable is suitable for a wide range of applications:

• Industrial installations: production lines, air conditioning units and other machines requiring reliable power and control.

Additionally, a special version is available – TECHNOKONTROL YnKSLY-Nr-O, designed for use in places exposed to contact with petroleum-based materials (e.g. petrol stations). There are also cables with reinforced sheathing for outdoor installations (YnvKSLY-Nr) and halogen-free (HKSLH-Nr) for increased fire safety.

It is worth remembering the conductor cross-section – 1.5 mm² – which provides adequate performance for most control applications. The number of conductors – 4 – allows for the transmission of control signals and the powering of devices.
