LAN-T2 Data Transmission Network Cable – Reliability and Protection in Harsh Conditions

The LAN-T2 3x2x0.75 cable is a robust solution for building telecommunication networks, especially in places exposed to electromagnetic interference. It is suitable for both industrial installations and networks requiring high resistance to external factors. The cable's construction is designed to ensure long-lasting and trouble-free operation, even in demanding environmental conditions.

Construction and Protective Features

A key element of this cable is the use of a moisture barrier. A longitudinally arranged aluminum tape, laminated with plastic and welded to the outer polyethylene (PE) coating, effectively protects against water penetration, which is particularly important when laying the cable outdoors or underground. Additional filling of the cable core with petrolatum further strengthens this protection, preventing moisture from entering along the conductors.

The cable construction includes six flexible stranded conductors, twisted from tinned copper wires with a cross-section of 0.75 mm². The conductor insulation is made of foamed polyethylene with a skin, and the wire colors (white/brown, white/green and white/yellow) facilitate identification during installation. Twisted pairs of wires provide interference reduction.

The cable jacket made of polyethylene (PE) is characterized by resistance to UV radiation and weathering. However, it should be noted that the material is not self-extinguishing or flame retardant.

Application and Technical Parameters

The cable is designed for laying both in cable ducts and directly in the ground. Its wave impedance is 100 ± 15 Ω, and the effective capacitance between conductors at 1 kHz is approximately 56 nF/km. The minimum insulation resistance is 150 MΩ∙km, and the operating voltage is 150 V with a test voltage of 700 V AC. The cable meets the requirements of PN-EN 50173 and ISO/IEC 11801 standards.
