Construction and application – the key to long-term operation

YnKY cables are designed for permanent installation indoors, outdoors, in cable ducts, and directly in the ground. They are made of high-quality materials: soft copper wires (RE class – solid round) and insulation made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The insulation colors of the cores comply with PN-HD 308 standard, and the cable includes a green-yellow protective conductor (in YnKYżo 0.6/1 kV cable). The cores twisted together are additionally protected by a black polyvinyl chloride (PVC) sheath. This construction provides resistance to mechanical damage and atmospheric factors.

Safety first – standards and properties

These cables meet the PN-EN 60332-3 standard regarding flame retardancy in vertically installed cable bundles. This means that in the event of a fire, the cable will limit the spread of fire. Additionally, special versions of the cables are available:

• YKYżo-O: designed for use in places exposed to contact with petroleum-based materials (e.g., gas stations). The sheath is made of a special oil-resistant plastic.
• XnKXSżo: halogen-free cables that emit minimal smoke and corrosive gases during a fire, increasing user safety.
• XnKXS: armored cables with steel wires or steel tape providing additional protection against mechanical damage.
