This shielded control/data transmission cable, designated as YnKSLYekw, is an ideal solution for control, signaling, and data transmission systems in industrial and automation installations. Designed for operation at 500V, it ensures safe and stable connections in demanding environments. It is particularly recommended where protection against electromagnetic interference is critical.

This cable is widely used across a broad range of applications—from monitoring and data processing systems, through measurement technology, to advanced industrial automation systems. Thanks to its shielding, it minimizes the risk of interference and guarantees high signal quality.

Construction and Properties

The cable’s construction is designed for durability and reliability. It consists of:

• Flexible stranded conductors, multi-wire, made of copper (tin-plating available on request), ensuring flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage.
• Insulation of individual cores made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), colored according to DIN VDE 47100 standards, facilitating easy identification of individual wires.
• Cable core wrapped in polyester tape for additional protection.
• Common static shield made of laminated metallic foil, protecting against external interference and suppressing electromagnetic emissions. Includes a grounding conductor for enhanced safety.
• Outer sheath made of black, flame-retardant, rubber-grade PVC, compliant with PN-EN 60332-3 for non-propagation of flame. The sheath also exhibits excellent resistance to oils.

Thanks to this design, the cable is resistant to mechanical and chemical damage and ensures safe operation under harsh industrial conditions.

Applications and Specifications

The YnKSLYekw cable is suitable for fixed installation as well as mobile connections within buildings. Available in a two-core version with a cross-section of 0.5 mm², it is an ideal choice for applications requiring precise transmission of control signals and data. Special variants available upon request:

• YnKSLYekw-Nr: with black insulation and white printed wire numbers (for conductors ≥ 0.50 mm²).
• YnKSLYekw-O: resistant to hydrocarbon-based substances – ideal for fuel stations or fuel storage facilities.
• YnvKSLYekw: reinforced sheath for outdoor installation and direct burial in soil.
• HKSLYekw: halogen-free – enhanced fire safety with low smoke and non-corrosive gas emission during combustion.
• IB-YKSLYekw: version suitable for use in intrinsically safe circuits.
