Shielded twisted pair control cable – reliable data and power transmission

This flexible, shielded control / data transmission cable is designed for use in control, safety and automation systems, as well as for supplying electrical power. The twisted pair construction minimizes interference between signals, resulting in stable and precise data transmission. A common static screen effectively protects against electromagnetic interference, both external and emitted by the cable itself.

This cable is particularly useful in applications requiring high resistance to interference and reliable connections. Thanks to its flexibility, it is perfect for installations where the cable is exposed to frequent bending.

Construction and application

The key element of this cable is its construction. It consists of:

• Flexible, stranded conductors made of soft copper wires (optionally tinned). This ensures high flexibility and mechanical strength of the cable.
• Conductor insulation made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), available in colors according to PN-92/T-90321 (IEC 60189-2) standard for YKSLYekw-P 0.6/1 kV version or black and brown with white numbering for YKSLYekw-P-Nr 0.6/1 kV version. This facilitates identification of conductors during installation.
• Twisted pairs of conductors, which minimize the impact of mutual signal interference.
• Cable core wrapped with a polyester tape for additional mechanical protection.
• Common static screen made of laminated metal foil, providing protection against electromagnetic interference and an earthing conductor made of tinned soft copper wires.
• Cable jacket made of black oil-resistant polyvinyl chloride (PVC).

The cable is intended for permanent laying as well as for movable connections inside buildings. Special versions are also available:

• TECHNOKONTROL YKSLYekw-P-O / YnKSLYekw-P-O: with increased resistance to petroleum products – ideal for gas stations or fuel warehouses.
• TECHNOKONTROL YnKSLYekw-P / YnKSLYekw-P-Nr: with increased fire resistance – meeting the PN-EN 60332-3 standard in terms of flame propagation.
• TECHNOKONTROL YvKSLYekw-P / YvKSLYekw-P-Nr: with reinforced jacket – for outdoor installations and direct burial in the ground.

Technical specifications

The cable has 32 cores, each with a cross-section of 2.5 mm². This combination provides adequate current-carrying capacity and flexibility for a wide range of control and data transmission applications. The cable construction allows for efficient use of space while maintaining high signal quality.
