Shielded control cable – reliability in control and power systems

This flexible, shielded TECHNOKONTROL YKSLYekw-P-Nr 0.6/1 kV control / connection cable with paired cores is an optimal solution for energetic control, safety and steering systems. It will also work in power applications. The construction with twisted pairs minimizes mutual interference between signals, which translates into stability and precision of data transmission. A common static screen effectively protects against electromagnetic interference, both external and emitted by the cable itself.

This cable is characterized by high flexibility and mechanical strength, which facilitates installation and ensures long-term operation even in difficult conditions. Designed for permanent laying and movable connections inside buildings. The polyvinyl chloride (PVC) coating is resistant to oils, which expands its range of applications.

Construction and application

The cable consists of four cores with a cross-section of 0.5 mm², made of soft copper wires (tinned on request). Each core is insulated with PVC insulating material, and the insulation colors correspond to PN-92/T-90321 standard or are black and brown with white printing of the pair number – in the YKSLYekw-P-Nr version. Twisted cores are then arranged in layers in the center of the cable, wrapped with a polyester tape. A common static screen, made of laminated metal foil with an earthing conductor made of tinned copper wires, provides effective protection against interference. The whole is surrounded by a black polyvinyl chloride (PVC) sheathing.
