Shielded control cable – reliable data transmission and power supply

This shielded control / data transmission cable, designated YKSLYekw-P-Nr, is a versatile solution designed for control, security and automation systems, as well as for supplying electrical power. The construction with twisted pairs minimizes mutual interference of signals, which is crucial in precise installations. Thanks to the common static screen, the cable effectively protects against electromagnetic interference both inside and outside the installation.

This cable is particularly useful in applications requiring high flexibility and mechanical resistance. The possibility of permanent laying and use in movable connections inside buildings makes it an ideal choice for various industrial and commercial applications. Additionally, the cable jacket exhibits good resistance to oil, increasing its durability in harsh environmental conditions.

Construction and design features

The key to the cable's reliability is its carefully designed construction. The conductors are made of flexible, stranded copper wires (optionally tinned), which provide them with high flexibility and resistance to material fatigue. The conductor insulation is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and the insulation colors comply with PN-92/T-90321 (IEC 60189-2) or black and brown with white numbering of the pair – in the YKSLYekw-P-Nr version. Twisted pairs of insulated conductors form the cable core, which is additionally wrapped with a polyester tape to reinforce the insulation.

The common static screen made of laminated metal foil, together with the grounding conductor made of tinned copper wires, provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference. The whole is surrounded by a black polyvinyl chloride (PVC) jacket, and on request, other colors of the jacket are available.
