This shielded control / data transmission cable, designated as YKSLYekw-P-Nr, is a solution dedicated to energy control, protection and control systems, as well as for supplying electrical energy. The construction with twisted pairs minimizes mutual interference between signals, which is crucial in precise installations. The static screen effectively protects against electromagnetic interference, both external and prevents its emission to the outside. This translates into stable and reliable data transmission.

This cable is characterized by high flexibility and mechanical strength, which facilitates installation and ensures long-term operation even in difficult conditions. It is intended for permanent laying and for movable connections inside buildings. The polyvinyl chloride (PVC) coating is resistant to oils, which expands its range of applications.

Construction and design features

The cable has been designed with demanding applications in mind. It consists of:

• Flexible stranded conductors, twisted from soft copper wires (tinning possible), meeting the PN-EN 60228 class 5 standard.
• Conductor insulation made of insulating polyvinyl chloride (PVC), in colors according to PN-92/T-90321 (IEC 60189-2) for the YKSLYekw-P 0.6/1 kV version or black and brown with white numbering of the pair for the YKSLYekw-P-Nr 0.6/1 kV version.
• Twisted pairs of conductors, which minimize interference between signals.
• Cable core wrapped with a polyester tape for additional protection.
• Common static screen made of laminated metal foil, providing effective protection against electromagnetic interference. Under the screen there is an earthing conductor made of tinned copper wires.
• Cable jacket made of black rubberized polyvinyl chloride (PVC), available in other colors.

Applications and special versions

In addition to the standard version, special versions of the cable are available:

• YKSLYekw-P-O / YKSLYekw-P-Nr-O: Oil-resistant version, designed for operation in environments exposed to contact with petroleum-based materials (e.g. petrol stations). The coating is made of a special PVC material meeting the PN-EN 60811-2-1 standard.
• YnKSLYekw-P / YnKSLYekw-P-Nr: Version with increased flame retardancy, meeting the PN-EN 60332-3 standard regarding the non-propagation of flame along a vertically installed cable bundle.
• YvKSLYekw-P / YvKSLYekw-P-Nr: Version with reinforced PVC coating, allowing installation outdoors and directly in the ground.

The conductor cross-section is 2.5 mm², and the number of conductors is 20 – which ensures adequate bandwidth and safety for various control and data transmission applications.
