Shielded control cable – reliability in control and power systems
This shielded control / data transmission cable, designated YKSLYekw-P-Nr, is designed for operation in demanding control, safety and automation systems, as well as for supplying electrical power. Its construction, based on twisted pairs of wires, minimizes the mutual influence of signals, which translates into higher data transmission quality and system stability. This cable is particularly useful in applications where precision and interference resistance are crucial.
Construction and application
The cable is distinguished by its flexible construction, thanks to the use of multi-wire copper conductors. The wire insulation is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and the insulation colors comply with the PN-92/T-90321 (IEC 60189-2) standard – in the YKSLYekw-P 0.6/1 kV version or black and brown with white printing of the pair number in the YKSLYekw-P-Nr 0.6/1 kV version. Twisting the wires in pairs, and then layering them in the center of the cable, further reduces interference. A common static shield made of laminated metal foil protects against the influence of external electromagnetic fields and prevents the emission of interference to the outside. Under the shield there is an earthing conductor made of tinned copper wires. The cable sheath is made of black oponic polyvinyl chloride (PVC), although other colors are also available on request.
