This shielded control/data transmission cable, designated as YKSLYekw-P-Nr, is specifically designed for energy control, protection, and automation systems, as well as for electrical power supply. Its paired-twist construction minimizes mutual interference between signals, which is critical in precision installations. It performs reliably in both industrial and commercial building applications.
Construction and Properties
The cable stands out for its flexibility and mechanical durability, facilitating installation and ensuring long-term operation. A common static shield effectively protects against electromagnetic interference—both externally induced and self-generated by the cable itself. Conductors are made of soft stranded copper (optionally tin-plated), guaranteeing excellent conductivity and flexibility. Conductor insulation is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), with insulation colors compliant with standard PN-92/T-90321 (IEC 60189-2); in the -Nr version, colors are black/brown with white-numbered pair markings. Paired conductors are twisted and arranged in the core, wrapped in polyester tape, ensuring order and simplifying circuit identification. Additionally, the cable features a common grounding conductor beneath the shield. The outer sheath is made of black rubber-grade PVC; other colors are available on request.
