Shielded Control Cable – Reliability in Control and Power Systems
This shielded control/data transmission cable, designated as YKSLYekw-P-Nr, is designed for use in electrical control, protection, and automation systems, as well as for power supply applications. Its twisted pair construction minimizes mutual interference between signals, ensuring stable and precise data transmission. Thanks to a common static shield, the cable effectively protects against electromagnetic interference both within and outside the installation.
The cable is distinguished by high flexibility and mechanical durability, facilitating easy installation and ensuring long-term reliability. Its suitability for both fixed and mobile applications within buildings makes it a versatile solution for diverse needs. The cable sheath is oil-resistant, expanding its range of applications.
The cable construction features multi-strand copper conductors with a cross-section of 1 mm², twisted into pairs and insulated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC). These pairs are then bundled and wrapped with polyester tape. A common static shield composed of laminated metallic foil, along with a grounding conductor, ensures effective protection against interference. The entire assembly is enclosed in a black PVC rubber-like sheath.
Additionally, special cable versions are available:
- Oil-resistant version (YKSLYekw-P-O / YKSLYekw-P-Nr-O): Designed for environments exposed to petroleum-based substances, such as fuel stations or storage facilities.
- Enhanced flame-retardant version (YnKSLYekw-P / YnKSLYekw-P-Nr): Complies with PN-EN 60332-3 standard for non-propagation of flame, increasing installation safety.
- Outdoor installation version (YvKSLYekw-P / YvKSLYekw-P-Nr): Features a reinforced sheath enabling direct burial in soil or outdoor installation.
The cable contains 12 cores, enabling simultaneous transmission of multiple signals—particularly important in complex automation and control systems.
