Shielded control cable twisted pair YKSLYekw-P-Nr

This flexible, shielded control and data transmission cable is designed for use in control, safety and automation systems, as well as for supplying electrical power. The twisted pair construction minimizes interference between signals, which is crucial in installations requiring high data transmission accuracy. A common static screen effectively protects against electromagnetic interference, both external and emitted by the cable itself.

The YKSLYekw-P-Nr cable is characterized by high flexibility and mechanical strength, which facilitates installation and ensures long-term reliability. It is suitable for both fixed installations and movable connections inside buildings. The outer sheath made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) provides resistance to oils, expanding the range of possible applications.

Construction and design:

The key to the cable's properties is its carefully designed construction. The cores are made of soft copper wires (optionally tinned), twisted in pairs to reduce interference. Each pair is surrounded by polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation – in the YKSLYekw-P version, the insulation colors comply with PN-92/T-90321 (IEC 60189-2), while in the YKSLYekw-P-Nr version, the cores have black and brown insulation with white pair numbering. Twisted pairs form the cable core, which is wrapped with a polyester tape for additional protection. A common static screen made of laminated metal foil, together with a tinned copper wire earth core, provides effective shielding. The whole is surrounded by a black polyvinyl chloride (PVC) sheath.

• YKSLYekw-P-O: Oil-resistant version – ideal for use in petrol stations, fuel storage facilities, etc., thanks to a PVC coating meeting the PN-EN 60811-2-1 standard.
• YnKSLYekw-P: Flame-retardant version – meets the PN-EN 60332-3 standard regarding the limitation of flame propagation.
• YvKSLYekw-P: Version with reinforced sheath – designed for outdoor installations and direct burial in the ground.

The cable has 4 cores with a cross-section of 0.75 mm², which provides adequate current carrying capacity for most control and signaling applications. Choosing the right cable version allows it to be adapted to specific working conditions and safety requirements.
