Shielded control cable twisted pair – reliability in control and power systems

The TECHNOKONTROL YKSLYekw-P-Nr 0.6/1 kV control cable is a flexible and durable solution designed for energy control, protection, control systems and power supply. The construction with twisted pairs minimizes mutual interference between signals, which is crucial in precise installations. The use of a static screen effectively protects against electromagnetic interference, both external and emitted by the cable itself.

This cable is suitable for both fixed and mobile installations inside buildings. Thanks to its special construction, it is exceptionally flexible and resistant to mechanical damage. The coating made of flexible PVC provides good resistance to oils, which expands its range of applications. The conductor cross-section of 1 mm² in four conductors allows for the transmission of signals and powering devices with moderate power consumption.

Construction and characteristic features

The YKSLYekw-P-Nr cable is distinguished by a careful construction that translates into its reliability and durability:

• Conductors: flexible, stranded, twisted with soft copper wires (optionally tinned), class 5 according to PN-EN 60228.
• Insulation: insulating PVC, colors according to PN-92/T-90321 (IEC 60189-2) for YKSLYekw-P cable or black and brown with white numbering of the pair for the YKSLYekw-P-Nr version.
• Twisted pairs: insulated conductors twisted in pairs, then arranged in layers in the center of the cable.
• Screen: common static screen made of laminated metal foil with an earthing conductor made of tinned copper wires placed under the screen – provides effective protection against interference.
• Sheath: black flexible PVC, possibility of making in other colors on request.

Special versions of the cable are also available:

• YKSLYekw-P-O / YKSLYekw-P-Nr-O: oil resistant – ideal for gas stations or flammable material warehouses. Coating made of special PVC material meeting the PN-EN 60811-2-1 standard.
• YnKSLYekw-P / YnKSLYekw-P-Nr: with increased fire resistance – self-extinguishing coating meeting the PN-EN 60332-3 standard, preventing the spread of fire along the cables.
• YvKSLYekw-P / YvKSLYekw-P-Nr: with reinforced coating – for outdoor installations and direct burial in the ground.
