Shielded control / data transmission cable – reliability and signal protection

This shielded control / data transmission cable, designated YKSLYekw-P-Nr, is an ideal solution for control, security and automation systems, as well as for supplying electrical power. The cable is designed for demanding industrial applications where reliability and protection against interference are key. Its flexible construction makes it easy to install and route in tight spaces.

TECHNOKONTROL YKSLYekw-P and YKSLYekw-P-Nr cables are distinguished by the use of twisted pairs, which minimize mutual interference between transmitted signals. This is particularly important in installations where the precision of data transmission is crucial. In addition, a common static screen effectively protects against electromagnetic interference from outside, while also preventing the emission of interference to the environment.

Construction and properties

The cable is carefully made of high-quality materials. The cable cores are flexible, stranded and made of soft copper wires (zinc-plating option available). The core insulation is made of insulating polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and the insulation colors comply with PN-92/T-90321 (or IEC 60189-2) for the YKSLYekw-P cable, or black and brown with white numbering of the pair in the YKSLYekw-P-Nr cable. Twisted cores form pairs, which are then arranged in layers in the cable center. The center is wrapped with a polyester tape for additional protection.

A common static screen, made of laminated metal foil, provides effective protection against interference. Under the screen there is an earthing core made of tinned copper wires. The whole is surrounded by a black polyvinyl chloride (PVC) sheathing, which is characterized by good resistance to oils.

• YnKSLYekw-P / YnKSLYekw-P-Nr: Increased fire resistance cables – meet the PN-EN 60332-3 standard regarding flame propagation.
• YvKSLYekw-P / YvKSLYekw-P-Nr: Cables with reinforced sheathing – designed for outdoor installations and direct burial in the ground.
