Signal cable YKSY-Nr 0.6/1 kV – reliability and versatility of applications
The YKSY-Nr 0.6/1 kV cable is a proven choice for control, protection and automation systems, as well as for powering electrical devices. The construction with 16 conductors with a cross-section of 1.5 mm² provides adequate flexibility and current carrying capacity for various applications. This cable is used both in industrial installations, production lines, and in air conditioning equipment. It can be used in dry and humid rooms, outdoors, in cable ducts and directly in the ground.
Construction and design features
The key to the durability and reliability of the YKSY-Nr cable is its careful construction. It is made of soft copper stranded conductors class 1 (according to PN-EN 60228). Each conductor is insulated with a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulating material in black color, with clear white numbers for easy identification. The conductors are twisted in layers into a core, which is additionally secured with a polyester tape. The whole is surrounded by a durable coating of PVC sheathing (PVC) in black color – it is also possible to order the cable in a different color.
It is worth paying attention to the available special versions:
- YKSYżo-Nr-O 0.6/1 kV: resistant to oil derivatives – ideal for gas stations or fuel warehouses.
- YKSwYżo-Nr 0.6/1 kV: with filling compound – recommended for direct laying in the ground.
- XnKSXSżo-Nr 0.6/1 kV: halogen-free – increased fire safety thanks to limited emission of smoke and corrosive gases during combustion.
Additionally, armored cables with steel wires or steel tape are available for places exposed to mechanical damage.
Parameters and compliance with standards
The YKSY-Nr 0.6/1 kV cable meets the requirements of IEC 60502-1, PN-93/E-90403 and PN-HD 603 S1. The voltage test is 4 kV AC, and the insulation resistance is at least 20 MΩ·km. The maximum permissible operating temperature of the conductor is +70°C (short-term up to +160°C). The cable also meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU, which confirms its safety of use.
