The signal cable YKSY-Nr 0.6/1 kV is a versatile solution for applications in power system control, protective, and control equipment. This cable is designed for permanent laying in dry and humid indoor spaces, outdoors, in cable trays, and directly in the ground. The version with filling sheath (YKSwY) is particularly recommended for direct burial, providing additional protection against moisture and mechanical damage. Halogen-free versions (XnKSXS) enhance fire safety by minimizing smoke and corrosive gas emissions.

Construction and Design Features

The key to the cable’s reliability lies in its carefully engineered construction. It uses single-wire copper conductors of Class 1 (compliant with PN-EN 60228), ensuring good flexibility and ease of installation. Each conductor is insulated with PVC and marked with white numbering for easy identification. The insulated cores are layered-twisted to form the cable core, which is then wrapped in a polyester tape for additional protection. The entire assembly is covered with a black, tough PVC outer sheath, resistant to mechanical damage and environmental factors. In YKSYżo-Nr cables, the green-yellow protective conductor is positioned externally for improved identification.
